It is easy for some and hard for most, we walk upright in our own fight. Some of us walk away victorious, most of us leave battered. The important part is that we show up to the fight friends. I have read a lot of had hard post tonight. This fight is long and hard and for most of us will never defeat it till we get call home or 6 feet in the ground. It is not how many times we fall, what matters is how many times we are will to get up and fight again.

Wow
Spend every minute fighting a fight i can't win.
Not for me!!
Surrender to win. Accept that the fight is over and the paradox is that for many that signifies the beginning of contented sobriety.
Be safe

A bleak outlook. I don't think so. If one aims for recovery and sobriety rather than a dry life constantly missing the deadly drug you have left behind. There can be a good life after the bottle. I believe that anyway.
If I didn't I would just drink myself to death.
