Underwent minor surgery on Tuesday, all went well so I continued drinking after a couple of days....Really tired of myself. I am in terrible shape, I can feel my body begging for mercy.
I am going on vacation in a week, seriously contemplating a sober vacation. That has never worked before, but alcohol has not made vacations better either..
Made a fool out of myself yesterday, talking too much, being really wasted. Embarrassing as hell, but I try not to think about it too much as embarrasment also triggers me to drink..
Here goes day 1 again...

Glad your surgery went ok.

at some point we have to reach a point where we are done with Alcohol.

Unfortunately only you can determine this day. For some it takes more dramatic events then others.

Playing the tape to the end is a great concept to do before picking up the first drink.
I extended on that and played the tape of my life. I asked myself what my health and life would be like 10 years from now and if I was really willing to die for a bottle that cannot think on it's own.

The prospect was clear, It was a slow suicide.

We'll done on day 1!
