I'm at work and just about to leave for the day, and something just happened that I can't help but share. I'm not looking for any sort of personal congratulations because I think this is more about a shout out for sobriety rather than anything I've personally done. Anyway, here goes....

I just got an unexpected short e-mail from my manager to say that she doesn't know what might be going on but that she has seen a remarkable change in me the last several weeks and that she is excited and so proud of me. Praise doesn't come easily to her, so it's a big deal for her to notice.

I'm not going to tell her what's really going on, but I think it's fairly clear to me. :-)

just cause "she doesn't know what might be going on" doesn't mean she doesn't know for sure.....she may know, but is praising you anyway and may be praising your sobriety, too!!!!
