Day 8 first day on new job .

I started work at a new construction site today , I felt great , was so nice to go to work not hungover, not having blood shot eyeys . not having alcohol on my breath, I got off work and felt I could have worked more. ( we work 10 hr days) I'm learning new things again, feel happy and have little shimers of goals and dreams, its amazing how quickly things get better when I'm not sedating myself into oblivion every night, after work I studied a bit then took a deep nap. Something I never did while drinking , my drunk sleep was always crappy at best . anyways thanks for all the support . for those just starting good luck , first few days arnt that bad.

Congratulations on the new job! It's great knowing that you are doing your best because you are at your best.

One day at a time, you'll get to day nine, then ninety, then nine hundred!

I know how you feel! I work as a chef, and often my days are 10-12 hours. When I quit drinking it was suddenly like I'd found an "Easy Button" at work. Everything is easier when you're not hungover all the time.
