ONE YEAR TODAY!
I could not let the day end without saying thank you to everyone at Sober Recovery.
Today is exactly one year since I quit drinking. It is the longest I have been sober in over 43 years. I started reading SR shortly after I quit drinking. It was 3 months before I joined and I've been here almost every day since.
A year ago I was so hungover and consumed with anxiety and fear that today seemed impossible. It is only by remaining sober for an extended period of time that I realized how much alcohol was affecting my mind, body, and spirit.
The mental affects last long after the hangover is gone.
As I begin YEAR TWO I feel more relaxed and secure than I have in decades.
A special THANK YOU to Dee and Anna!

Congrats and thank you for sharing I'm two months sober an although I'm doing good and feeling good, it sometimes seem like its impossible to think I'm forever done at 28 yrs old. You have giving me hope
I love reading posts like yours! Big congrats to you on one year! We know what dedication this took and I applaud you
It is so true that it takes sober time to realize the havoc alcohol was creating in our lives. I know your post will be great inspiration for all the people just taking the first steps.
