Today is my 4 month sobriety date.
It's such a long time for me, and yet such a blip on the radar of life.
Hang in there, newcomers.
It does get better.
Does it get perfect? No, but nothing is.
Loneliness still appears, life's traumas are still life's traumas...
And yet, when the knee-jerk reaction isn't to escape from feelings of discomfort, everything changes.
Just telling you what my experience is.
It's still hard, but I don't think about drinking all the time anymore.
Each day waking sober (and sleeping better finally!) is a blessing.
Just wanted to tell you to hang in there.
