It means that although one is not drinking the behavior is still going on.

it means my first ex husband to a T.lol it means someone who can preach and yell that they dont drink any more.. but the behaviors and the blaming everyone else for their miserable lot in life is the same as if they were still drunk. basically as i have seen its a cop out on taking responsibility for their actions and yet being able to technically not have to admit to drinking.

I think my dear husband is suffering from this...or should I say I am suffering from listening to his constant moans and groans and complaining.

Thanks all.

Yes it means what was stated.
The 12 steps work to help the whole person from stopping the picking up of that first beer to helping them find their place in life (correct old habits)
Took me reading the bible to find the cure as I didn't go through the AA program. A commitment to AA's 12 steps and or a commitment to learning the things of life as found in the bible will help mend such a condition.

I can't add much more to what everyone has said it is a drunk continuing on with his same drunk behaviour.

Thanks for the question though........I realized why my S.O is being so miserable lately. He's not getting to enough meetings I guess.
