Hello everyone.

I am pleased to say that I have been sober for 4 days. To a lot of you, this might seem like its nothing but this is a huge step for me. The longest I have been without taking codeine is probably 24 hours at most and ive been addicted for atleast 5 years.

woke up today and yesterday feeling like utter crap, not only physically but also mentally. Could not budge from my bed due to cold sweats and severe muscle and stomach pains.

Well, I heard it gets better and im getting all the emotional support needed from my S.O.

I am posting here today to see if there are other people going through the same symptoms and to ask if anyone had any tips, remedies (such as tea or hot baths before sleep) in order to get through these withdrawl symptoms.

Welcome to SR! I don't know about opiate withdrawals as I was a wino myself. We also have a substance abuse forum here you might be interested in. I'm glad you found us and joined the family.
