Describe waking up sober :)

I feel like a new person. I'm new to this but each day feels like a new opportunity. I don't feel like crap. I am happy.

When you wake up sober, your opportunities are endless. Morning is by far my favorite time of day.

Agreed. I love waking up instead of just coming to. I enjoy going to sleep instead of passing out, too.

I still remain so grateful to wake up sober. The hang overs were killing me at the end, body, min, spiritually. Yuck!

Amazing - like being reborn everyday. After a real 8 hours of sleep to feel well rested - maybe throw in a kitten stretch and hit the gym.

My first sober morning in a while was yesterday. Man did it feel great. No pounding head. My mouth wasn't stuck together. I didn't reek and stink like stale beer. I wasn't sick.

I slept through the whole night. Got up when the alarm went off and thought to myself. It feels great not to feel like sh$t.

Having a little trouble tonight ( night two of sobriety) but it feels good not to be a mess

No looking in the mirror at a pale face and bloodshot eyes, promising myself not to drink later today.

It's like Christmas morning everyday. A gift just waiting to be unwrapped. Each day holds so much potential now, whereas in the past, I would be grinding my teeth and just trying not to die.

This is what being alive really is.

100 days in a day.

Amazing I love remembering what I did the night before and not feeling guilty or wondering how much of a fool I made of myself.

One if the best benefits of sobriety. Waking rested, clearheaded, and ready to face the day is the only way to live. I know alternative all to well and I never want to experience it again.

You all sound so, so happy to be sober. I'm on day 7, and it doesn't feel like anything special. The thought of never cooking and drinking wine just maked me sad.
The thought of never again going out for a drink again seems devastating. I am enjoying not being hungover though. And now for a family gathering without alcohol. Sigh.
