Question 1st time stopping .... help?

This is so hard. Ive never posted in anything like this and frankly its also my first time saying i have a problem. My issue is opiates. Hydros ... stuff like that. I can take like up to 10 fives at a time and think nadda of it. I have also gone days in the padt without and not because i wad quittng but because i jst couldnt get any.
So i ask .... im on day 2 and actually not sick. I am however not sleeping and i have major issues with restless legg syndrom that has gotten really bad the last few nites. Cant sleep jusy kick and fidget all nite .... what can i do to ease this? Will my withdraw get a lot harder? I know that i have to face the reasons why i do it but really so far other than some bathroom issues and the not sleeping and being on edge im ok.
I read what u all post and im thankful for an easier time but i do know im craving them. Alot! I used like this off and on for 5yrs. I dont want to end up killing myself or damadging my child or family .... please.... any advise is so appreciated !!'

Hi Wowsa - welcome

I don't know anything about Hydros but I suffer from restless leg.
Here are some tips:

Establish a regular sleep pattern. Don't sleep in of a morning; and don't nap for long periods during the day.

Get yourself in a pleasant state of tiredness before going bed. Don't do anything stressful before going to bed – do something relaxing, like reading a book. Have a warm bath before bed.

Make sure the bedroom is quiet and dark.

Exercise regularly (but not in the late afternoon or evening).

Cut out stimulants like alcohol, caffeine and nicotine.

massaging the legs, using a heating pad or ice pack (whichever works best for you)

I'm not currently on meds...I have cerebral palsy so it's been a life long condition for me - thankfully it comes in fits and spurts, not all the time.

I have an opiate addiction as well. I actually never mentioned it on here because it was a habit i kicked and haven't relapsed. I personally didn't experience many withdrawal symptoms. Alot goes into how bad withdrawal is.

i'm on night one for alcohol and I can tell you that it SUCKS.

For my opiate withdrawal, i had flu like symptoms. I personally took melatonin to put me to sleep. I would talk to a doctor about this because maybe you can't take certain meds.
