Back to day 2. Gonna have blood tests.
Back to day 2. Gonna have blood tests.
Hi all
Im sorry to say I almost made 2 weeks and then I made a decision to have a few drinks thinking I could control myself.
12 cans of beer and a bottle of cider and a bottle vodka over the weekend, yep I have a problem.
I had the most horrendous anxiety, impending doom, etc.
Been having abdominal pains that the doctor has ordered liver, kidney, stomach and pancreas tests.
I'm not proud of myself. I really hope I can make it past 2 weeks.
Having watched this video I feel sick.

Hope the test results are not anything negative.
I recommend that even if nothing is wrong with you, try to take it as if there is. It will increase your resolve to remain sober.
With a good plan and support you can definitly do this!

Hang in there. I'm still in my first month and it is tough but I just keep reminding myself that once I get through the cravings etc that I never wanna go back. It's crazy to see how much different life is through sober eyes. Every day sober is a victory over addiction!
This from your previous post:
"The way I remained sober is by the AVRT technique."
Your technique needs tweaking. We have a secular connections forum with a lot of information about AVRT and support. Be ready for the next time you "make the decision" to drink.

Thanks everyone.
I am gonna try harder to beat this. I hate needles but it will be a sharp reminder to not drink.
It should have been easy to pass the 2 week mark but I can only be more determined to make it.
