Good motivation for me...

Hello! New here, real quick-
I'm 23, feel like I drink too much too often, also I HAVE to smoke when I drink.
I could go into details about all that, but I'll put that in a different post.

ANYWAYS-
I sing in a band, and have been noticing I can't reach any high notes anymore!
It's so annoying! So I had it checked out, turns out I have acid reflux.

SO, basically if I want to get better, and be able to sing and yell like I used to, I have to really cut down drinking, and stop smoking all together!
It really sounds like a great motivation to quit!!

But... I started taking the pill about a week ago (have to take it for 3 months)
And I have drank and smoked several times, ugh!
I went 3 days straight without drinking, which is good for my record...
I drank last night and feel like **** today, but I found this site and I really hope this'll help keep me in line!

So that's about it,

Welcome to SR and it is great to stop while you are so young. Your whole life is in front of you, and to be a singer too. Wow. I am glad you came here. You will get plenty of support.

You're very right, I am young, but I sure can see my problem just snowballing. It will be great to take care of this before it gets much worse. I feel like this site will be a huge help, everyone seems very supportive, thank you again!
