Hi all. I am here as alcohol is ruining my life. Alcohol is taking away my friends. Alcohol is taking away my wife. Alcohol is taking away my life. What scares me is that I control the alcohol and even knowing what it does I still allow it.
Sorry to be so bleak while saying hi. I'm not in a good place right now. The last 12 months have been the worst and I have rounded the year off even worse.
I hope 2014 will be better. I hope to recover.

There's a ton of support here, and a lot of ideas on what you can do if you want face to face support like AA etc

If you feel really poorly it's probably not a bad idea to see a Doc.?

it took me a few months to get sober and i lost my wife twice in that time. i have no idea if she will take me back but i do know i am better off sober.

I was definitely my lowest point. It's amazing to have somewhere to say how I actually feel without being judged.

I agree with you Benny, I hope 2014 is better. For me, I think it will only be better if I am sober.

Things can change, alcohol doesn't have to be apart of your life, you'll find plenty of like minded people here to give loads of support whenever you need it!!
