What is helping me today is remembering that every moment is an opportunity to do God’s Will not mine. His plan differs from my plan. It’s says in Step 3 page 60 our first requirement that we be convinced any life run on self will can hardly be a success. So why keep trying. My efforts need to be focused on doing God’s Will not mine. Today I remind myself not to waste time trying to run my own show because it leads to frustration, self-pity & unhappiness. Focus on my recovery and share my experience good and bad with others. That is service work. Focus on work and in within that environment learn to apply all principles I've learnt through God and the 12 step program and focus on doing the things that please God; prayer; obedience; faith and trust.
