Alcoholism makes us think we're hiding shame
What is so bad about being our authentic selves? Were we told by so many people we cared about that we were worthless or were we bullied at school so badly we had the potential to make straight A's but skipped it like the other 600,000 kids do everyday to avoid the verbal and physical abuse. More students who were bullied than the bullies themselves end up in jail because of their low self worth and poor choice making because they think they can do nothing right. When you're in recovery make a list of everything you do right and/or everything you accomplish in a day. You will realize you actually do have worth :-)
