Wonder what the Alanon - AA version would look like?
#1 Mistake. Taking ANY crap from an A. Once they figure out they can dump their crap on you, they will be back with more and more crap to dump on you.
#2 Mistake. Trying to rescue the A from themselves and the life problems they create. When we rescue an A from their consequences they cannot learn to not create or solve their own problems.
#3 Mistake. Thinking the A's problems are *your* problems. Or even *our* problems. When you are dealing with an A you have one big enough problem -- and that is you -- because you are dealing with an A.
