Bucket List

The things I can do before I die (instead of drinking):

Hike the Grand Canyon
Get my athletic physique back
Become a Certified Financial Planner
Start my own woodworking business
Earn back the trust I've lost
Pay for college for my (as yet unborn) grandchildren
Hike the Appalachian Trail
Visit Europe with my wife
Hit my net worth goal
Bench press more than my weight again

I'm sure I'll think of others. What are some of yours?

I like to think short term. What can I do TODAY instead of drink?

* Write a journal entry about gratitude as a component of recovery...
* Appreciate the gift of my sobriety.

Keep the weight off that I lost since quitting.
Take some classes.
Volunteer work to help those less fortunate.
Travel.
Overcome my shyness.
Make progress in all the areas in my life that keep me from being the person that I was created to be.

Do a degree,
Teach someone something useful,
hug someone i love,
Inspire someone to do something good,
do something creative,
help a drunk stay sober,
see another sunrise,
see another sunset,
stay sober,
try and be humble,
Be thankful for one more day as a relatively hairless ape sat on a rock spinning through space .
make someone laugh,
hear a baby laugh,
have a fit of the giggles,
sing,

I went to see him at the Gorge on the Columbia River once in the 90's.....before he was too, too famous. We camped off to the side of the concert and the seating area was just a big field. Amazing!

Ahhhh, the good old days!

That would be on my bucket list if it were ever possible again.

Hi Non, good to see ya.

Hmmm, bucket list...

- Help other alcoholics achieve sobriety
- Pick up a 30 year chip at age 82 (only 29 years and 5 months to go )
- Fall in love
- Teach my grand nephew to play golf (he's 5 months old)
- Live the rest of my days on the coast of NC after retiring

There are some other things that would be cool to experience before I die, but I wouldn't have any regrets if I was never able to experience them.
