My 22 yr old son, is at it again. His behavior is giving him away. He is under a doctors care for opiates abuse. He is injected with Naltrexone, every four weeks by the doctor. What could he be using, that makes him not look high but act so sneaky? It's one lie after the next. He sleeps all day and stays up at night. He does not have access to money. I'm on him like white on rice...any advice.?

If an addict wants to get high then they will find a way to get high. It doesn't matter if they are broke. If they can't high on their favorite drug then they will switch to another one. You can stick to him like glue but he will a way if he wants. The sneaky behavior is typical of addicts.

You didn't Cause it, you can NOT Control it, and you can't Cure it.
Let the professionals deal with it, You love him too much to help him.

Rndz, yes, they can still get high even on Naltraxone. As stated by another poster, they will just switch to another drug. I have looked into this for my son, but I soon realized that if he isn't ready no amount of preparation and research that I do to help him is just futile effort.

All you can do at this point is to acknowledge when he is doing good. Hugs.
