Rehab Struggle
After calling multiple facilitates - AH got into one, but they were very clear that they will be putting him on suboxone. I do not agree with that. I have told AH he is welcome to go there, but I will not participate - am I wrong?
If you're not comfortable with his method of recovery then it is what it is.
I remember when my recovering IV dilaudid addict adult daughter first asked my permission to try subs, instead of being clean. I said no, it was just trading one addiction for another. She relapsed a few more times, with devastating consequences, before grabbing the reins from me and giving them to an addictionologist.
I have no idea if she's still on them because I'm hands off her addiction, but I know her life is good these days.
If she is still on them, then good for her doing what she needs to do, to live a happy and productive life.
