32 days sober

Hi
I finally went sober and wanted to share some of my feelings that withdrawal symptoms below.
I was in the middle of of on outpatient counseling programming and i was still drinking over the weekends. Over the last week, i realised that i had to quit completely.
I started on anabuse and that was has worked really well.
I also smoking on a pack and half of cigarettes every day since i went on anabuse.

I wont write too much about the physical withdrawals that people had talked about a lot.
I initially felt that my head was ringing a lot and specially during evenings.
I was smoking once every half hour but i did felt better. My head always felt very heavy during the day time and then it better became better.
Week 2 : I went to see my GP and she did my bp test and i was at 140-90 and i had very high cholesterol.
By that time i was smoking 18-21 cigarrettes every day.
since then things have become better.
I also have been doing my mindulness execericess (meditating every morning /evening) for 35 mins.
Some weird things happened:
Once I went to a restaurant for dinner and I completely left my laptop there.
It was only after wards i realised that i had left my laptop there.
2ndy: Since now i am trying to leave smoking also , i have been constipated for a few weeks.
I constantly feel dizzy .
I started biking since last friday and things have been better.
Last week i was making a lot of spelling mistakes when i was typing. This has become less.
Is my BP and smoking withdrawals interfering with my alcohol recovery.
I sleep was better now and now since i started using bp meds i cant wake up at even 6:30 which i used to do every day.
My fog has continued.
The ringing in my ears have subsided.
Anyone else in similary situation like me ? Do u have still have memory blackouts.
Thanks p

to SR! It sounds like you have several reasons to see your doctor. We can't give medical advice here. I've never experienced the symptoms you describe. I'd suggest seeing your doctor for a check up.

Congrats on your sober month!

Hi and welcome Punjabi

Like least says a lot of what you're asking constitutes medical advice by our rules, and we can't give that here.

I think some forgetfulness and fuzzy headedness is common but memory blackouts and dizziness, even chronic constipation, are things you need definitely to get checked out.

You really need to see a Dr for that
