Mike's status update
Hi guys!
It’s been awhile since I’ve given an update on my life and I wanted to share where things are now.
It’s been 2.5 years since I separated from my AW and I’m going through big changes again. My daughter who lives not far from me is moving out west with her family. I mean like thousands of miles. Wow.
The only family I have in the area is my stbxaw and I don’t see any reason to hang around.
My other daughter and her family live near Memphis Tn. So, I am taking a leap of faith. I am quitting my job and moving to Memphis. I don’t have any jobs lined up but I am ok money wise for the time being. I’m going to stay with them for awhile and find my own place nearby.
It will be a great opportunity to spend time with my grandsons. I don’t know what I want to do job wise but I’ll figure it out when I get there.
I’m calling it a reboot. I’m rebooting my life and starting over.
I’ll be honest though, without SR and Al-Anon I never would have been able to do something like this on my own or maybe ever at all. I’m feeling some anxiety but it is more excitement than fear although I want to keep both of them under control.
So to everyone who has been on this journey with me I want to say thank you. This success is as much yours as it is mine. And to all the new people on the site, it does get better, much, much, much better.

Good on you Mike, take life by the horns and ride it! I am crossing the pond to the states with my hubby for 2 years in January, very new territory for me, but all my SR pals will be coming along for te ride, so it doesn't seem so scary! All the best for your future x
