New to the Site and Glad to be Here
Hello everybody,
I'm really glad to have found this site and be making this post (a post I never thought I'd be making). I had issues with alcohol a while back and tried to deal with that before I even knew what recovery was. I've been prescribed benzos for a few years now and used them on and off until it began getting more and more regular. It takes a long time to see when you've crossed the line when you're hiding behind a prescription, but when I started mixing it with alcohol I couldn't hide it anymore. 8/13/13 is the day I decided to get my life back, and now I'm here with all of you wonderful people.

pr89 - We're so happy you joined us! This is the best place ever for support, encouragement, and friendship. Great job on your sober days.
Zoe - Your post brought back horrible Sunday night memories. I vowed the same thing - to stop at a certain point - and it never happened. Waking up to get ready for work with that horrible dizziness & desperation. Noooo - never again.

I really appreciate everyone's warm welcome to the site! Early sobriety makes me very emotional, so it's a bit overwhelming, and all these nice responses are leaving me a little speechless. Thanks everybody

hi pr89
I have commented on the emotional aspect of early sobriety, but it felt good to feel it, right, the numbness is wearing off
this is a great place to start a journey back, wish you the best
