I feel lost

And confused... I'm having a pity party & it's no fun. I'm closer then ever to having my license back fully after a DUI but today am focused on the fact that I feel trapped in the house. And I'm broke because im trying to pay down debt. And I'm almost out of ciggies & Im tired of being worried about that. I feel like a slave to nicotine & my ever changing emotions in early sobriety. I don't have a clue as to what I want or need and I worry I'll feel like this on & off forever. I truly feel like a crazy person. I know a drink won't solve anything but I would sure like to numb myself right now. Gah!

The nicotine voices will die out after a while.

Hang in there

Thanks for your post... I also sometimes get "trapped" in my own head... it sounds like you need to take a walk, or do something physical or distracting to help you get "unstuck."

Awwww thank you deeker I'm a half mile from the store so I could walk but don't have the motivation. And I know a walk would probably be the best thing for me. Why am I always my own worst enemy?! I won't drink over this but just wish I could start to feel balanced for more than a few days at a time.

Thanks Dee I am hoping I will wake up tomorrow & find the motivation to get out of this self-pity. Recovery is a rollercoaster but it beats the shame & regret of drinking any day. Keeping moving...
