My prayers have been answered!
My prayers have been answered!
As some of you may know, I relapsed in rehab after being there for 1.5 months, and I ended up getting discharged.
In the past, I used getting kicked out of rehab as an excuse to use again, resulting in binging and getting caught up in the depths of active addiction.
THIS time, I chose to NOT use. The first day I got out I got myself to an NA meeting and called my sponsor. I've been to a meeting everyday since then and I continue to not use and call my sponsor everyday.
I also got a court apperence letter in the mail stating I violated my ACD and I had to appear in court on april 2nd.. I was so worked up over this, so worried about going to jail or something.. so I decided to pray.. hoping everything would be alright.
The next day I got a call from the rehab facility I was at saying that they want me to come back on MONDAY!! Now this place doesn't give 2nd chances to people but they somehow made an exception for me!
Coincidence? I think not!

I went back and told the old priest that ran the facility that I had run because I was scared.. I thought I was having a heart attack.
I told the old priest that if I had a heart attack, I promise it will be in his recovery home and not in the bar.
I did not run again...and I didn't have a heart attack. That's when recovery began.. when I surrendered.
All the best.
