Big day tomorrow :)

Our church does cardboard testimonies once a year, and tomorrow, my husband will be holding a sign saying:

Used and Abused Alcohol for 25+ years.

On the other side it will say:

Sober for 629 Days, only by the grace of God.

If you had told me 628 days ago, that he would be where he is today, I would have doubted it. It has been almost 2 yrs of emotions, rebuilding trust, hurt, etc. But he has made it this far, and I am very proud of him.

Yes...every year there are always a couple that make me go WOW. Our church tends to be called the "mutt" church, because we welcome anyone through our doors. Makes for some amazing testimonies.

I believe "mutt' church is exactly what my God wants. Accept anyone who comes through those doors. Amen!

Amen. Nothing like the church I grew up in. The head of elders at the one I go to now was an alcoholic for 18+ years and has been sober just about as long. An amazing man of God, and the one who walked with my husband through the program he went through. His experiences as an alcoholic help him tremendously to understand what people are going through.
