Are you asking for yourself? I am not going to answer the question. I don't know the circumstances. Nor do I want to give you permission to use drugs under the banner of "Recreational" drug use.

Let me ask you a question. With your documented problems with alcohol, do you think you can just "use" drugs? Or is abuse an inherient part of LionHearted1?

Simple answer... walk away from them. You'll soon know. Same as alcohol.

I wish you the best.

Well Morphine is a Class A drug. Does it matter what using it is called.

A comment on the term "recreational..."

What is being re-created? I mostly used drugs to destroy my mind. Someone told me he used meth, but "Only recreationally." Huh? This misuse of the word gives recreation a bad name.

I had minor surgery a couple years ago, and was given pain pills. I will actually never forget the feeling of well-being those pills induced the morning after surgery. I took all the pills and did not ask for more, so I think that drug use was justified. I also take low doses of psychiatric medicines.

If you use cocaine once a month on a Friday night but can go for months without it then I would say you are a drug user. Anymore than that and you're an addict.

What's a Class A drug?

I know the medical community classifies drugs according to certain parameters which include the propensity for becoming addicted.....and possibly the extent of the physical withdrawal......

Stop for 3 months, see how you go. You will have an answer by then. Although if you have to ask then it bears some self examination.

Don't you have a life threatening addiction to alcohol?

Using other drugs will help you how?

Do you really care what others think or are you seeking a response that you can use to justify using?

Maybe it's best if you explain why you asked the question LH?

I stopped drinking alcohol and won't start using drugs. I think it is trading one addiction for another. Like others said, think about why you are asking. I think you know the answer already.
