Help
Lost trying to find my way. I dont know what im doing and i need guidence. Maybe someone that has been doing this a while. Ive lost my kids home a lot due to drinking. Anyone that can help me find my way.
I think you might have found a potential path by coming here to SR. Welcome.
I "lost" almost 3 years of my first daughters life due to drinking. I came here and pulled it together to not do that again for my second daughters life. Been sober every single day for her since she was born. I promised to her the day she was born.
So please become involved. Ask questions. Nobody here will claim to have the one specific secret. The answer is different for everyone.

You have to find your own way but there are a lot of people here to help and there are a lot of resources out there. The only way to have a clear mind to try and "find your way" is to have a sober mind. Things can get better with sobriety or even worse with alcohol.

Hi Girlfinding....so happy you have found us. I am sober 30 days today because I found SR. Without finding this place who knows where I would be. As much as it is my choice and hard work to stay sober and I essentially did it, I wouldnt have gotten to this point without joining..You will have tons of support here. I am always on here, talking and reading, it helps it really does. Stay strong you can do this.
Welcome Girl! I drank all day, every day when I first joined SR. I couldn't imagine my life with out it, but I knew I was going to die if I didn't stop.
It was a relief to find so many others with my same problem. I had felt alone with it. I was able to calm down and make some plans about quitting and leading a new life. I hope you find hope and encouragement here - we're glad to have you!

i once was lost.a useless, worthless, hopeless, helpless POS( in my mind) i was at a point of desperation. it was either take another drink and kill myself or get help. i went to AA. i leanred i wasnt a bad person, just sick. i put in the footwork of the prgram, leanred about me, and how to change. it was the fellowship of AA that helped me( and still helps me) learn how to change.
that was 7+ years ago. im no longer lost and today i have use, worht, hope and can help others.
AA has been a blessing.
