so excited
I have an official date. I am going into rehab next week.!!! Don't know what to expect?
Anyone got any tips for going in?
I feel like I am having one massive party just now. I don't know if that is me facing up to the fact that I will try to never drink again.

Just show up on time and try to surrender.
On the dresser in my room at rehab in 1989 was a card with the 7 words printed on it that would save my life......
"ASK, LISTEN, and DO WHAT YOU"RE TOLD"
All the best. It will certainly be your lucky day.

Hi UK...I have no experience with rehab but I think it's a good decision
I'd think really carefully about the last hurrah tho - my experiences with that haven't worked out too well.
Don't let your fear led you into impulsive decisions.

I've been. Advice-bring a journal to write in...calling card...lock for your suitcase...and your willingness. Don't want to make it sound like vacation packing but practical is practical. Best of luck.

I am excited for you too! Buckle down, and use your stay there to do as much work on yourself as you can. I went to rehab 25 years ago (wow) and, although it got me permanently sober from cocaine (not alcohol unfortunately), I wish I would have taken it more seriously instead of trying to be everyone's friend, if that makes sense.
