5 months today!
today i have 5 months! i am so grateful to SR for all the support. really, you guys are the absolute best.
5 months ago, i gave up my fight with alcohol. basically, that bottle of vodka finally won and i admitted it. i was so tired, so very tired of fighting it that i just gave up. with that, i stopped engaging it. i didn't realize what was happening at the time but with these months of sobriety and clarity i am now able to process it. i know that if i engage alcohol again, it will win. every frikkin time. the only hope i have of staying sober is to not drink and that is what i will continue to do with the help of my sober community. i don't think i could have had so many moments of clarity or awakenings or revelations if it wasn't for SR. being able to read and post here has been nothing short of amazing and is a large part of why i'm sober today. thank you all for letting me practice my sobriety every day here! this community is awe inspiring. to be a part of it gives me so much joy. have a wonderful, sober day everyone!
