Hey SR members. Please bear with me here.... just registered and trying to figure it all out. Sober 9 days, 14 hours and counting! Seems like a pretty cool website. Congrats to all of you in your sobriety. If anyone has any tips about understanding this site, please advise. The threads I have recently read are ALL very inspirational.

This is a good site. I ventured into an 'on-line AA meeting' at another site today and found it to be more distracting and somewhat chaotic. This format is better as you can think about what is written-absorb it or add your own message. Good luck & welcome!

The Forum List page has links to all of the SR forums, including this one. There are forums for alcoholics, abusers of other substances, women only, folks with eating disorders, bikers, it really is a big list. I suggest you become familiar with it so you can post where your topic will get the most responses.
You can also find forums where particular recovery methods like AA are discussed, and other forums for non 12 step recovery methods. There is a busy chatroom that you can access from the dropdown menu bar at the top of this page.
