finally sleeping right
I posted july 8th for the first time about how i quit drinking july 6th and couldnt sleep a wink, alot of ppl gave me some really good advice. its july 14 and this is my 2nd post, just wanted to tell everyone who replied on that thanks and im sleeping back to normal again and still holding strong. its only day 9 but baby steps! thanks again to anyone who gave advice.
Nothing feels better than a good night's sleep where when you wake up, you actually feel rested and ready to start the day. I wouldn't trade that for all the passing out I did so many years for a million dollars.
Glad to hear you are still on track.

It's a great feeling isn't it? I didn't sleep well for years. If only I'd realised that drinking was actually causing this!! I used it as I actually thought I couldn't sleep without it!!
Oh well, we live and learn!
You're doing great, keep going. It gets better and better xxx

Good for you! I know how much it sucks not to be able to sleep. I had an extreme fear of not being able to sleep and also used alcohol to sleep. I didn't realize that it was having the opposite effect. Now that I've been sober for 50 days, I sleep like a baby.
It definitely feels wonderful to know the difference in "tired" and "drunk" again. I've been dialing down my drinking for about a week now, and I'm on day 3 of full sobriety. And I think I'm going to take a nap after a very intense 3.5 hours of work this morning. No drink, no meds, just a nice afternoon nap after a good hard few hours of work. It's been a long time since that has happened for me.
