Residential Tx for Codependence
Has anyone heard of it? Tried it? Have thoughts on it? I spoke with a program coordinator at a place in Kentucky and it sounded really good. VERY expensive, but somehow being immersed in treatment for codependency for 2 solid weeks sounds really, really nice...

Anvilhead--thank you for the reality check. Yeah, I'd love a vacation and spending $6500 (if I had it) would be better spent in Hawaii...what I liked about the 2 week tx was the immersion.
I have found some meetings in my town, and in nearby areas. There's one large place, where lots of meetings are held, but I know HE goes there. Can I even handle going to the same place? Is that advisable? And I'm discouraged by the lack of number of meetings for Al Anon. Are they underground or something?

I have been to two.
One is a really intense long weekend of therapy driven exercises that get down to your root causes of dysfunction in family of origin issues. (usually the reason for poor choices in relationships and boundary problems) this was in PA at Caron, the "Breakthrough program" the other was a weekend in the Family Program at the Retreat in Wayzata, MN. An immersion weekend of al anon principles. Both were beneficial to me. SR has been an outstanding resource, and of course meetings. Getting a sponsor is key.
