Been goin overboard on the booze and drugs so i decided to go for my first sober weekend in about 2 years. I don't remember it being this tough! 5 days in and its a long weekend and all my workmates have organised a big night out! AAAHHH lol wish me luck =D

Congrats on 5 days!...If you want to make it through the weekend...Find something else to do without your mates.You can do it.

Any day you can make it through sober is a victory, and congrats for having the strength and desire to want to not drink! I just joined this site and don't know how to post on a forum. Could anyone please tell me how to do this?

So are you going to go out with them?...Big Night drinking on Day 5? I wanted to stop drinking for good...So far I haven't had one in 10 months....But you can bet I wasn't doing stuff like that to get where I am.

well its friday night and they arent doin it untill sunday, its likely ill give it a miss, don't find the idea of sober driver very appealing lol

i will stop drinking for good eventually i believe but im not ready to commit to that yet. when i know im 100% ready ill go for it

I said that for about 20 years....I drank for 35 daily. It wasn't pretty to find out I was 100% ready.
