Back To Square 1 Again.
Back To Square 1 Again.
After months of sobriety, I fell right back into drinking last week.
The stress in my personal and work life convinced me to go back to my "release". My grandfather was near death from Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and is still fighting for his life, my back is giving me fits again, and the workload that I have to do alone has been a lot to bear lately.
I poured my Spaten Optimator out a few minutes ago that I had decided to buy Friday night. I'm going to see the chiropractor again this morning, and I am going to simplify some financial stuff today before going to work later.
I also noticed that I have gained almost 6 pounds since falling again.

Sorry about your fall Fdm. That is what we do when we suffer from untreated alcoholism. We drink. I have found that alcoholism is a illness and needs to be treated as such. Are you ready to try something different?
Well, regular walking was great therapy, until my back issues came up again. The weight thing motivated me to pour it out today. I can motivate myself, as long as I can manage the stress.
Countless people have stress in their lives and don't drink. It isn't that stress doesn't bother them, it does. They accept it as a fact of life and deal with it.
Stress isn't going to go away. But the drinking has to. If stress is a trigger, find ways to deal with it. If alcoholism is the trigger, find ways to deal with that.
Good luck.

Went to the bank and made a loan to pay off and close all of my credit cards this morning after seeing the chiropractor for my morning visit.
I'll pay off the debt in a few months, and this alone makes things a bit simpler. I just cut all of the cards up too.
So, I poured the beer out and it cut up the cards. I also heard that my grandfather has passes the swallow test required to keep him off the feeding tube.
So far, so good. Let's hope my back get straightened out this evening!
