30 Days! :)
30 Days! :)
Unbelievably to me, I am 30 days sober! For five years I marinated in stronger proof and higher quantities of wine nearly every night. To think that I have gone 30 days without a drop is crazy to me!
Thank you Thank You Thank You for all of the support that I have received here. This place is one of the biggest reasons this has been possible. Reading other people's stories whether it was the horrible things they have been through, or the hope I got from seeing that others have climbed up out of this beast, really kept me going.
I would love to hear any advice or thoughts anyone has on the next leg of recovery. I have been in and out of the grocery stores where I always bought my wine without issue. One time I had to will myself away from the alcohol aisle, but that was a few weeks ago. Since then I have had little to no cravings, and no desire to pick up.
Physically I am still tired, but better......still waiting on some red streaks to clear from my eyes (this will happen, right?) as well as some lingering tummy issues. Otherwise I am feeling pretty good and am able to sleep again.
OK, thank you again for all of your support, wisdom and honesty!!!
