Hello all...
After several weeks of lurking I decided I would say hello. I'm glad I found you guys and AA. Today is 40 days and I've settled on a home group and will probably select a sponsor tonight. One thing I discovered, all groups are not equal. I've decided to make meetings I think are beneficial rather than worry about the quantity of meetings attended. Anyway, it's great to be sober and I feel great.

(((Philo))) - welcome to SR!! Glad to hear that you are going to meetings, and I agree, not all are the same. SR has been a huge part of MY recovery, but f2f support always helps, IMO.

Agreed Mpurrfect. I've made 46 meetings so far and really enjoyed most of them. The other day I decided to scale back and attend with the group that helped me the most and was enjoyable.

Hi Philo - so glad you found us. SR is a great place to come to any time of the day or night. There's always someone around. It can be a nice addition to the meetings you're attending.
