First bad day...but it's over
Yesterday was my first yucky feeling day, in almost three weeks. Not sure why, could be all the usual suspects, but I also didn't get as much sleep as I need Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I'm useless if I don't get at least seven and a half to eight hours sleep.
Well, went to bed around 9:50 last night, woke up at 7:45 this morning and I feel GREAT!
Have a great, sober weekend everyone - I'm gonna!
There's so much I can do, I don't even know where to start! Maybe I'll start with this:

Glad you are feeling good today......me too ! I have always been early to bed and early to rise, if I don't get seven hours of sleep I'm shot and my day is ruined. Another sober week-end and it's really good to be able to enjoy them. Have a great day !
Thanks all. Friday wasn't a bad day because I was tempted to drink, it was just a plain old bad day. We all have them, I know I'll have more, it's just that it was my first one since getting sober.
Now today...was a great day! After picking my nose, I had a blast, even mowing the lawn was okay. Seriously, it was just okay, not a fan of the yard work.
Funny about being tempted to drink, it's been almost three weeks, and on a scale from 1to 10, the most I've been tempted/thought about drinking would probably be a 1, maybe 1.5. Almost scary, to be honest with you.

Glad to hear you are feeling better, you are right the bad days come and go....
But the up side is, they are ALWAYS followed by better ones. And it does keep getting better the more sober time you have..in my experience anyway.

Thanks again, all.
topspin, that William James quote is my all time favorite and has been for a long time, it's just so...true.
Someone on a work related forum has that same avitar, and I've always loved it. Sadly, put down my 16 year old Beagle this past February, and my 15 year old a year ago, this past May. It so reminds me of them - a nose on four legs.
