This is incredible. I've passed it on to some recovery friends.

What really struck me was when she said that she would rather have a puppy or a goldfish in her life than someone there just for the sake of having someone (or words to that effect.)

Thanks for sharing, TuffGirl.

THIS is why I live alone. And why I'm not looking.

Up until my last relationship ended (guy was not even a drinker, but very manipulative, brought a lot of bad mojo into my life), I was one of those people who HAD to have a relationship. At all times. One ended, on to shopping for the next.

Until I am at peace with me (something I'm working on), I have no business complicating things by bringing someone else in. It is a distraction, at best.

So glad that everyone likes it.

A really nice blend of truth and humor.
I watch it whenever I need a "reminder" about the realities of relationships

I' gearing up for a heart to heart with my current boyfriend of over a year and the video helps remind me that I will be ok regardless of the outcome of our talk.

thanks so much for posting this, truer words were never spoken..."there are 2 places you want to have PEACE, the grave and YOUR HOUSE"

Mr. Fandy caused me much pain and grief before I moved him out of my house, he talked a good line of bull and he may have even believed it....he chose gambling over our long-term live-in relationship...I cannot remember how many times I begged him to stop and he either wouldn't or couldn't.....I was beginning to feel like his mother or the maid or both....IN MY OWN HOUSE.

The biggest lies are the ones we tell ourselves sometimes.

I also forwarded it on to other people in my life - especially my 17 yr old who is struggling with ending a relationship she knows is not working for her but is afraid of hurting this boy who is in turn hurting her with some bad behavior. I told her all relationships have an expiration date...but I like the way it was stated here about relationships being seasonal or forever, and we need to determine which category they go into, along with the tree analogy.

Thanks gowest for sharing this!

Fab advice, have book marked it for future listenings, am so grateful to have some wonderful "roots". Who is Madea though? Is it a guy dressed as a woman? Some kind of talk show?

Madea is a character from the mind of Tyler Perry. He has made several movies. She is the wise old black woman who tells it like it is. We all need a Madea in our life!

One of my favorite TPerry movies is "Diary of a Mad Black Woman"..no matter what color your skin, this movie speaks to women on many levels. Also like "The Family that Preys Together"

Tyler Perry is one of the most successful new directors/producers? He also hired "The Old Spice Man" (on the horse) to be in his latest movie...I like how the good triumphs over ego in his movies.

I also sent to this to women in my life...

I am alone, and comfortable FINALLY with that...i have my family and my friends and my kitty to make my life complete...

great advice to say it like it is...and that is the whole problem...people dont do that anymore....(dont want to make it look like the bad guy)

Did anyone see the one on relationship advice (below the posted one). I accidently hit that one (it contains part of the one about letting people go). It is a few minutes longer but actually talks about quacking.

I have watched this at least five times in the last 24 hrs. I have sent it to others. Thanks so much for this.
