I'm back
I'm back
So I've been away from the boards for about 2 weeks as I had a family vacation and a bike tour I completed. I considered stepping away from Sober Recovery as I felt I had a good handle on sobriety. After a couple days back in the "real world" I realize that I still need this board to help me stay firmly planted in sobriety. I've got 126 days in and feel better than I have for years, some days better than others of course but overall ditching booze was the best thing I have ever done.
Thanks everyone for being here, I'm glad to be back.

WB,
I left here for a bit because I thought that it was a bit too much reading about relapses all the time. 9 months and no relapses, but I realized the same thing as you. It helps me, selfish bustard that I am!
I do not spend as much time here as I would like because I do have a life and a very good one in most respects. I read some other threads where folks I know are and realize I don't really know a "lot" about anybody because I don't hang but a bit in chat and one or two other places. And scan here in the newcomers. But I know a lot of people I really like here that have been here for me from day one. And want to share some as well as keep my hand in my own recovery. Maybe my viewpoint can help another, and in the process I am helping me, selfish bustard that I am.
