Just Checking In
Hey guys. Haven't been on here much lately. Guess I've been caught up in life, or whatever. Anyway, I can tell it's been a while because I was thinking about booze today. Not in the, "I gotta have a drink right now!" type of way, but more of a reminiscing and romanticizing type of way.
I think most people who know me here also not I'm not very likely to have a drink. I like to think I'm pretty solidly grounded in my recovery. But it helps me in my own recovery to help other people in theirs, and I haven't been doing that lately. Like I said, I know I haven't been pulling my weight because those drinking thoughts came into my head, and that doesn't happen when I'm living right and doing what I need to do.
So I'm gonna try to make the effort to stop by more regularly. Of course I love helping others, but in kind of a selfish way; it helps me as well.
