Hello Everyone
Hey Everybody, I am new to this site and wanted to reach out to say hello and tell a little bit about where I am at. I have been back and forth with being sober for the last couple of years, I have not utilized the program at all, and am finally at a place where I am willing to. I just had my first relapse with drugs after having 110 days clean. I clearly see that I did not prepare myself by having the proper tools in place for when those things that happen to me and make want to use happen. I work full time, volunteer, and am going to college in a few months. I had put way to much on my plate and caved in. I just told my boss I had to cut my hours back so that will help SO much. I will now have time to go to meetings and put some effort into it. I found this website and wanted to use this to find some support and have a place to share my feelings and thoughts and be comfortable with that. So far so good. So anyways, I look forward to chatting with everyone, feel free to hit me up!
Hi FtLaud - welcome!
You do sound awfully busy! I'm glad you're here - I get a lot of daily support here and I know you will too. Alcohol pretty much dictated my life and as you know, it's really hard to live happy while in addiction.
Hang in there!:ghug3

Wow
Thanks everyone for taking the time to respond, I left for work today actually counting down the minutes until i could come home and check this site. I think its going to be just what the doctor ordered!
Good for you for recognizing that you needed to make a change.
And, I believe balance is crucial in recovery - for me it is, anyways.
I have to have some 'quiet me' time, along with everything else, or it just doesn't work.
