Thumbs up TOPIC: Who Are Our Trusted/Trusting Servants?

Hi. Im Sharon. I am an Alcoholic
here in Baton Rouge, La.

In recovery we hear often hear about
members being Trusting Servants.

Who do you believe are our trusting
or trusted servants in recovery?

Are they the ones we look up to for
suggestions, guidance, trust, support
in recovery?

Are they the ones that show up regularly
at meetings to set it up. To chair meetings
and take charge to lead the way for new
comers?

Do they announce the arrival of a newcomer?
Announce their anniversaries? Make the new
comer feel welcome and a part of a program
that they are unsure of. Make them feel
comfortable and at ease?

Are our trusting servants carrying humility where
they dont feel well above others but rather be
just as equal as them?

Trusted/Trusting Servants are each one of
us as we carry the message of hope to the
newcomer still suffering from addiction. That
there is life, joy and fun for years to come
after they become clean or sober.

I look for trusting/trusted servants all the
time to walk beside of in my journey just
like i would want the newcomer to do the
same with me. In fact I welcome ur company.
