First Nar-Anon meeting

I did it! I attended my first Nar-Anon meeting and was accepted! One of my fears was that I would not be accepted into this group because my addicts addition is just pot. I felt that my issue was too small compared to others. This was not the case. I was accepted, understood and listened to. Oh my gosh what a wonderful feeling. I did share but during my introduction I just started crying. I did not know if I could do it. I did not realize how much I am hurting inside since I started coming here and now to my first meeting.

I was wanted to share my huge accomplishment!

Congratulations! It takes a lot of courage to walk into a room full of people you don't know and expose a problem. It stops a lot of people from going.

I hope you keep going back. I have found a lot of comfort in the rooms of Alanon and Naranon.

gentle hugs
