Lift me up, please!

I stopped drinking for 6 months, now I'm back at it.

I'm trying to stop again, and I'd love some postivie messages coming my way.

This is it, tonight. I hope.

Truly my best,

spryte

Hi Spryte,

You can stop drinking again and I'm glad that you came back here for support.

I believe you can do it Spryte...the first step is putting down the drink, and the second is finding help.

You're not alone

Six months is awesome! You can do it again, all you have to do is quit drinking and join us again! Please don't let a relapse discount 6 months of sobriety!

Maybe that was the last time, Spryte. I drank all my life. It took me a few times to get it right, but I finally have 2 & a half years. I know you can stay off it this time - if I can, anyone can. Keep talking to us - we care about you.

Six months is awesome- please never ever loose sight of how awesome the sober time is. Try and think back to when you first got sober and got past the hardest parts and started to experience the good stuff a sober life can offer. Take that experience and think about how much better it is than what you are going through now. You are back here on SR-GREAT STEP!! And, you expressed that you want to stop drinking-ANOTHER GREAT STEP!! Now take the next step and the hardsest one and try stopping for one day-just one day. And think about what you did to launch those six months of sobriety and what happened when you started drinking again and think of what you can change there.

I had a relapse myself before after 56 days and felt crushed but then I remembered all the good things there were about sobriety. It was hard to get back on it, but I dug down and worked the steps extra hard. The steps were for me completely and I am not sure what worked for you. But know that you can do it-you did for 6 months. You can do it again. Just keep thinking one day at a time.

Hang in there and all the best of luck to you. Keep coming back here to SR when you are need to-we are all here for you 24/7.

And most of all-stay positive-focus on the good (your 6 months) and keep at it. You can do it!
