Things Looking a Little Brighter
Looks like I will start receiving the full amount of court ordered child support very soon - should have the first disbursement sometime early next week. That is $700 added to the monthly income - it is gonna make such a difference. I was just lamenting to myself earlier this week that it would be a bit easier to concentrate on getting in shape and getting less codie if I had a bit of financial cushion -so thanks to the HP....

My computer is going all over the place...I just wanted to say my child support was court ordered & he had to send it directly to the court & they sent it on to support enforcement...he sent my lawyer the first check as arranged & it bounced. 
Once he had to pay me $900 in one week...the very first one that bounced, the one he hadn't paid yet & the next one almost due. He was mad.

Child support was included in our divorce decree but he got laid off last April and didn't find a job until November. I agreed to take a lesser amount straight from him until he found a full time job came and then we would renegotiate the amount. Got the full time job but - lo and behold - he sure didn't think the amount needed to change. I've had the child support enforcement unit after him for quite some time now and he is a great deal in arrears. Two years in a row now I have had to burn through my savings to make up for financial shortfalls due to not getting the correct amount. It was really pi$$ing me off.

You have waited long enough to receive support and when every pennie counts you just can't let it slide. Glad you are taking some of that to care of yourself as well. When your life revolves around providing for young one, it is easy to forget your own "upkeep." Bet you are now looking as good as you feel

Disclaimer: Sorry to hijack the thread a little dirtmagnet... This is just one of the few threads I can get into because of the database error.
Anyway I am not sure alice...Weird. I can only see post in FFOA by using new post. Strange....
Anyway Good for you magnet! Still envious of the chinese buffet today, but good for you.
