just a question

not attempting to start any kind of fight, just wondering if any of you are agnositc/atheist. I don't believe in any gods, but I don't know whether I call myself an atheist, since I don't think we can be certain. So much of the recovery process seems to hinge on a higher power, and I really don't believe there is one. I am still able to let go, instead of letting go and letting god, I just let go and let circumstances I guess haha. anyway, just some thoughts. How bout y'all?

When I started Alanon we were told to belive in a higher power... it could be the sun in the sky. I do believe in God. When praying I never ask for things for me.....just watch over family and friends and in the last year to thank him for helping me to face my codependancy. When I finally got out of Gods way it was quite clear to me that there truly was a God. My son has turned a corner, started a business, goes to meetings nighty and seems to have found a path much healthier than drugs. However you detach, as long as your happy is just fine. Smiles, Bonnie

Ditto what Bonnie said. I myself have also found that when I get out of God's way, good things happen. My AD has also turned a corner, without any interference from me.
She has her own apt, job, working a good program with the help of an excellent sponsor.
I give many thanks to God.

Used to consider myself a hopeful agnostic, now just more into spituality in general.I struggle with the idea of a "God" that is in charge of me.. my higher power is kind of yogic, energy flow, nature, connectedness to all in the world. Gosh, I sound like a hippie!
