My friend died yesterday...

...of liver failure because of his moderate-to-heavy drinking. He was 51 years old and a wonderful man.

Rest in peace, my friend. We will miss you so very much.

TJP, I am so sorry for your friend's death, as I know from past experience that liver death is a very hard one indeed.

My condolences, TJP.

I also had a friend who had just turned 51 shortly before passing for the same reason a few months ago. He was a heavy drinker with a laugh and smile bigger than life all the time - no matter when I saw him.

I don't know what, if any, pain he may have been masking on the inside, but he, along with your friend, are at peace now.

May you find comfort in the good memories you have of him.
