What to expect

I was up to drinking a full bottle of wine per night. What kind of withdrawal symptoms should I anticipate?

Thanks.

We are not doctors

Welcome. This could be the start of a new life for you.

However, we are not doctors and cannot give medical advice. If you are concerned definitely go to the emergency room or your family doctor.

I strongly urge you to see a Dr. that is familiar with alcoholism, tell them the WHOLE truth about your drinking and follow the Dr.'s advice.

Detoxing without medical supervision in some cases kills, this is not something to take lightly. Everyone is different.

Withdrawals happen different with different people. None of our bodies are made up of the same body type, blood type, or any other type. We all have the same common problem yes. But for me, my withdrawls took over two to three months and there are still somedays that I am not feeling the best.

Best thing to realize is that we didn't get where we were in one day, so it will take sometime.

Drink a lot of fluids, poweraid, gatoraid, anything like that would be very helpful, eating right even if you don't feel like eating, and just be gentle with yourself is the main thing.

Do talk to your dr about withdrawing from alcohol.

I am glad that you found us.

We can't tell you what to do or give medical advice, but here are some of our experiences at quitting.
