OT - Midwest Blizzard

It's crazy here. We have already had 15 inches of snow and the winds are 50+ mph. The entire city/area is shut down... all the businesses and schools. I think the grocery store is even closed! A few people must have important business at the post office across the street, because they have tried to get there and are now stuck. I guess they didn't get the message about staying home and off the roads!

This is a picture of my patio table with at least a foot of snow on top.

Here's one of the driveway with the drifts around the cars:

LMAO not at the fact of whats going on in the weather all over that ways .. but that those who feel they need to get there mail on such a day like that . I think its the same way in most places , not know exactly where you are , But for me its a small town and mostly elderly ppl who some shouldnt be driving . but be heaven for bid they should miss out on a free cup of coffee at the local Cenex station or not make the morning gossip session . they just wanna know who can and cant get out .. its funny but not , cause this is how so many people get hurt or worse die from getting standed in below zero temps .
glad you got power and such to keep you intertained . thats quiet the snow bank . Im glad we didnt get that ( in North Dakota ) but we had our share of that last yr and this winters just starting im sure we will get our pile of it sooner or later .. stay inside and stay warm in your Pj's lol Huggles of warmth sent your way ~ Endzy ~

Oh Good Gravy - that's some serious snow!!!!

Last Friday we had snow in SW Louisiana - that makes 2 yrs in a row for us - WHICH has never happened - we usually get snow about once every 10 - 15 yrs. (No wonder the New Orleans Saints are undefeated!!!)

Please be careful and stay warm

Geez - wish I had a way to send you of my Famous Cajun Chicken & Sausage Gumbo - you need that to keep you WARM!!!!!!

Oh & by the way, Snow on Friday - Tuesday we were in the middle 70's -
Typical Louisiana weather!!

Coats on Friday, Shorts on Tuesday -

Tis the season!!!

aww I'm kinda jealous! In the Carolinas near the coast we don't ever get snow. Everything closes if we have a dusting, though, haha! Be safe and keep warm! XOXOX

Winter was late arriving here too (Ontario, Canada) but it came in with a blizzard this morning too. But it only lasted a few hours and is cleaned up now.

Maybe you'll have to come to Canada for some nice warm weather

Stay safe, Cats, and don't shovel, get a plow guy to clean you out.

Hugs

Lovely snow drifts.

I know it was COLD and blowing this morning waiting for the bus. Got two tennis shoes full of snow just trudging through the drifts to get to the bus stop! Saw all the school closings scrolling across the tv screen and was hoping my job would close up, but of course not! UGH.

Sounds like wind chills will be in the teens to twenties below zero tomorrow morning, I can't wait for that trip to the bus stop.

When I lived in Calif., I missed the Minn. winters - now I'm starting to think I was crazy.
Stay safe and warm everybody.

We have no snow yet, but my BF (120 miles north) may get 2-3 feet by Friday night. All we have now is a very cold wind, and a chance of an inch or so. The hard part is the 50 MPH winds. I chased my garbage cans UP the hill once already. If they run away again the neighbor can keep them

(((Cats)))

I was thinking about you when I heard where the winter weather was pounding. My mom's side of the family lives in souther MN, so I'm sure they are in the same predicament.

We had temps up to 68 today, supposed to be in the 20's tonight? Yesterday we had drenching rain, supposed to have more of the same today, but it was sunny. I think our meteorologist got his degree at K-Mart.

We're liking ((Breakingfree)) - we get a DUSTING of snow, and the entire area shuts down!!

Stay safe and warm!

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

p.s. If you get a plow guy, don't get Ann's old one...he drove her CRAZY!!!

Our blizzard is back, they are talking as much as 2 feet north of here, so I hope it stays north.

I will try to divert the blizzard so our American friends across the border can stay safe

Ann hope all is well with you there. The snow piles here are pretty mind boggling. It's difficult to see around a corner as the snow is piled about 10 ft high. The parking lot at the mall is really amazing - some of those piles are taller than my house for sure! Today the sun is shining and there's no wind, but it's still really really COLD.

Stay dry and warm...

We got two feet and many of the roads were shut down, but just north of here got three feet and are completely shut down.

I think it's tapering off now and may be better tomorrow.

Hope we both see sunshine soon Cats, and all those snowed under.

Hi Cats

I wonder if Ann can get the CODIE Bus warmed up enough to pick you up and drive you here to our house in California???

I should warn you though, we did have a bit of rain today. LOL Hope that doesn't discourage you from making the trip.

I haven't seen that much snow ever!

Hugs, Devastated

We're still just getting rain and temps in the 40's. I checked on my aunt and uncle in southern MN and they are pretty snow-bound, too, but my uncle made it to work...he's one I got my hard-headedness from He's probably the only person in the city who went to work.

All of you getting pounded by snow, stay safe!!

Hugs and prayers!

Amy
