Hey! I had the baby!
Hi everyone- For those of you who know me- I have missed you!
I finally had the baby on Oct 27. His name is Noah and he is a total ham. Go to my profile if you want to see some pictures of him. Also have one of Ashlyn and one of "Sarah with Mascara"
I have been absent from the site since the end of September for several reasons. First of all, I spent the last month of my pregnancy exteremely sick, for lack of a better word.
One day I went online (stupid mistake) and started readin about pain pills in pregnancy and something snapped in my brain. A lot of you know that I was worried during my pregnancy about my vicodin addiction effecting the baby at birth. Well I literally made myself phyiscally sick during that last month with worry. I obsessed every minute of the day that something would be wrong with him and he would get taken away or have birth defects. I cried constantly and my anxiety was so bad I was hospitalized for heart palpaltations that literally lasted days. I came clean with my husband about my worries. He was understandably upset (knew I had used pills during my pregnancy, but was unknowing about my duration of use, if you recall). It was no way to live and no one to spend the end of my last pregnancy.
Lucky for me, God had mercy on my soul and I delivered a healthy, nonaddicted baby. As far as I know, he has no defects. Wow, what a blessing and wake up call. I will never forget those last few weeks of hell.
As for my recovery- I ended up getting my tubes tied and due to the excruciating pain from that (much worse than anticipated) and the delivery, was put vicodin in the hospital. My husband was surprisingly sympathetic of me and didnt protest my taking the meds. There have been some bumps in my recovery which I will post about later.
Thanks to all who prayed for a healthy baby for me. Its good to be back.

Congrats to you and your family. I looked at your pictures and you should be very Proud. I am sure it is a great relief to have the birth of your son over with so you can get on with life! And I suppose not much sleep!

Congratulations!!! He is adorable!! So are Ashlyn, and I just love "Sarah with mascara"
I'm glad to see you back, but sorry you had such a rough time there at the end. Hope this means you'll be sticking around now?
Hugs and prayers!

Congrats nallabelle! That is wonderful news. I abused opiates all the way through my pregnancy (used sciatica and backpain as my excuse) and my little baby was OK too, thank goodness.
Hope he sleeps soon! I did find that the very hardest thing about being mom to a new baby!

That's really wonderful news Nalla. Just take good care of yourself and your family now. You've done so well, and you need no longer have to worry youself sick - just enjoy....and try to get some sleep at times!!
congrats Belle!
When I had my daughter 15 years ago, I was terrified bcuz I had unknowingly been on klonipin for the first few weeks of my pregnancy. I nearly worried myself insane. I too, had a healthy, happy, completely normal baby. Sometimes, our prayers are answered... Keep up the great work.
p.s. he's a beautiful baby boy.... good for you....
